GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Wet weather will continue to develop through the day Wednesday as a cold front works its way through the Great Lakes.  Scattered showers, and possibly some thunderstorms, will hang around much of West Michigan until that front passes through Wednesday night.

Early Wednesday morning, rain was most widespread north of Grand Rapids, with areas from Fremont to Big Rapids picking up most of the rainfall.  Fremont Middle School had received three-quarters of an inch of rain through 6:15 A.M. on the Live Neighborhood Network.

While rain won’t wash out the entire day, mostly cloudy skies will hang around and hold temperatures in the low to mid 70s for most of the region.

A few isolated showers are still possible early Thursday, but sun should return for the afternoon.  High temperatures will stay in the 70s to around 80° for the rest of the week and through the weekend.

Once another disturbance brings showers or storms to West Michigan Friday, a nice weekend appears to be ahead of us; you can find the full 7 Day Forecast on the Weather page.
