WEST MICHIGAN — The attached snapshot is from our FutureTrack HD computer forecast model at FOX 17 for 6:00 PM on Monday. It shows a few showers across the area through the afternoon and evening hours.

While we likely will not see a good soaking long-lived rain on Monday or Tuesday, but Wednesday a few more showers with some heavy rain and thunderstorms will be possible. Temperatures on Monday will be stuck in the low 70s with lots of clouds, but a little more heat and humidity will be here on Tuesday and Wednesday as temps hit 80 or so.

As of Sunday, Grand Rapids has had 12 straight days of high temperatures below 80 degrees. We are now in fifth place for the longest consecutive days of less than 80 degrees in July/August. Since we won’t hit 80 on Monday, we’ll likely tie both third and fourth place with 13. Tuesday and Wednesday we’re forecasting highs around 80.

985 was the longest streak of days below 80 degrees with a total of 16. We probably will not break that record. Get our complete West Michigan forecast at www.fox17online.com/weather.
