A Few Grand Rapids Voting Locations to Change

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Three polling locations will change in Grand Rapids. Tuesday morning, city commissioners voted to approve the changes. The city clerk’s office said two of the locations are former Grand Rapids Public School buildings that  closed recently.

The clerk’s office said the third location is being moved “to a larger building to accommodate more voters.” The new locations meet the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) standards.

Voters affected by the change will receive new voter identification cards.

The city’s election commission recommended the following changes:

Ward 1, Precinct 18 is to be moved to New Hope Baptist Church at 130 Delaware SW
Ward 1, Precinct 23 is to be moved to West Catholic High School at 1801 Bristol NW
Ward 3, Precinct 62 is to be moved to Living Word Christian Center at 1534 Kalamazoo Ave SE
