GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Cool and dry air has replaced the rain and humidity that West Michigan dealt with Monday, and those conditions will continue over the next couple of days.

A weak upper-level disturbance will clip the state Tuesday, and the combination of that plus cool air aloft will generate some fair-weather clouds.  A pop-up shower is not out of the question either, although the majority of any rain will be brief and should stay out of the FOX 17 viewing area.

Temperatures will hold mostly in the low 70s Tuesday afternoon, and it will feel even cooler thanks to a stiff breeze out of the northwest.  That breeze will also create high waves and strong currents at the lakeshore — beach conditions may be dangerous for swimmers during the day Tuesday.

Dry air and winds that will calm down result in a chilly night Tuesday night; many locations inland and north of Grand Rapids could dip into the upper 40s.

More seasonable conditions will start to return later in the week, with dry weather holding on through the weekend.  You can find the full 7 Day Forecast on the Weather page.
