SILVER CREEK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The body of a fisherman has been recovered from Indian Lake in Cass County.
The call came in to 911 shortly before 9:00 p.m. Wednesday. The caller reported seeing a man fishing from his boat earlier on, but noticed that the boat was now empty.
Deputies responded, and neighbors went out to the boat and located the man’s body in the water. He has been identified as 58-year-old Steven Crans of Bangor.
An autopsy will be performed to determine a cause of death.
