COLDWATER, Mich.- Police are still looking for the man who smashed a car window and took a purse at Great Lakes Health and Fitness Center on Monday.
Patti Gibson put out the call on Facebook for her friends to help her find the man who robbed her. She says it was about 10 a.m. on Monday when the gym manager came up to her and asked her what she drove. When Patti walked out, she saw the smashed window, and noticed that her purse was gone.
The man had already taken off and while Patti was trying to cancel her cards, she got a phone call that he had tried to make a purchase at Wal-Mart and was declined, so he went to get her debit card and was able to make the purchase.
Police say this seems to be a one-time incident and they have not had any other car break-ins lately. They are not releasing a description of the man at this time.
