Ostemo Township Car into house damageOSHTEMO TOWNSHIP,Mich. — According to the Michigan State Police on August 29 around 11:35 PM Troopers from the Michigan State Police responded to a report of a vehicle that crashed in to a home in Oshtemo Twp, Kalamazoo Co.

A 23-year-old female from Kalamazoo was eastbound on M-43, west of 2nd St. when she veered off the roadway.  The vehicle then struck a utility trailer and RV that were parked in a driveway, before crashing in to the corner of a home.  The home, utility trailer and RV sustained extensive damage, as did the 2007 Kia Sportage, driven by the female.

A nine-year old child was asleep in the room near where the impact occurred and was injured by falling debris.  He was treated on scene and released.

At this time it appears speed is a contributing factor to the crash. The crash is still under investigation.
