41-Year Old Holland Woman Arrested For Attempted Murder

generic police lightsHOLLAND,Mich. — Holland police were called to the 200 block of W 18th street at approximately 4:30 pm September 3. for an ongoing altercation between two female residents of a group home that may have resulted in an assault.

Officers arrived at the home and knocked for several minutes before the female victim of a serious assault was able to come to the door. Officers immediately began treating the victim for multiple head injuries. The female suspect was not located at the home but during the course of the investigation she was located at a nearby park and taken into custody.

The victim had been assaulted over the period of approximately an hour and various times was rendered unconscious. The suspect and victim lived in the home together and had a history of not getting alone together. The victim received on-scene treatment by Holland Fire personnel and paramedics prior to being transported to Zeeland Community Hospital via AMR. The 46-year-old was admitted to the hospital for various injuries.

Police have charged the 41-year-old Holland resident with Attempted Murder and she is being held in the Ottawa County Jail. The case is pending review by the Ottawa County Prosecutor’s Office.
