Man Accused of Setting Cat Traps Now Missing

craig harpeMUSKEGON,Mich. — The  Muskegon Police Department is searching for 53-year-old Craig Harpe.

Harpe was last seen at around 3:30 a.m. in the area of Nolan Street and Roilson Street in the City of Muskegon. Harpes family is concerned for his well-being and advises law enforcement that this is out of character for him to go missing.

Muskegon Police officers have conducted an extensive ground search of the area and have not been able to locate Harpe. The area Harpe was last seen borders upon Ruddiman Lagoon on the City’s West end.

Currently, the Muskegon Police Department, along with the Muskegon Fire Department, and Muskegon County Sheriff’s Department are searching the area in and around Ruddiman Lagoon as part of an expanded search area.

Harpe was profiled during a story FOX 17 aired over the summer after neighbors claimed he was setting cat traps around him home.

Harpe is a White Male, 53 yrs old, 5’02”, 140 lbs, with Brown hair, beard, and Blue eyes. Harpe was last seen wearing a tan or grey shirt, blue jeans, and grey tennis shoes.
