WYOMING, Mich. — Williams Furniture is going out of business after 67 years in West Michigan.

Owners of the Wyoming store say that economic strain from the recent recession are the reason for the closing.  They began a going-out-of-business sale Thursday morning.  Everying in the store will be sold before it closes.

The store was founded in 1946 by Jacob and Lorraine Beart, and has remained a family business ever since.  The store was initially located on the corner of Alger Street SE and Division Avenue, but moved to 28th Street in 1954.
