GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- The very first line under the About Us section on Ed Dunneback & Girls Farm Marketreads, ” Welcome to the family farm owned and operated by The Girls”. While some of that explains the pink tractor sitting in the yard, it also shows their dedication to fighting for a breast cancer cure; a very fitting symbol as October kicks off Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Getting pictures with the pink tractor is something that everyone is encouraged to do at the farm market this fall where fruits are their specialty. They love to showcase all of their tasty treats in a nearly 100 year-old barn, located at 3025 6 Mile Rd. The farm also has a kitchen and gift shoppe with everything from candles, cook books and canning supplies to fresh-baked goods.

A creative, 5 acre corn maze is one thing that has become a local favorite! It tests your knowledge of pop culture, agriculture, sports and history in the maze, which all plays a role in getting you out.

On Saturday, October 12, the farm is encouraging people to come take part in the Third Annual Chili Cook-off. All proceeds benefit the Michigan Lyme Disease Association. If you would like more information, call Stephanie at 616.784.0058.
