CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two people are dead after a three-vehicle crash late Thursday night.

Police say two cars, a Mazda and a Dodge Charger, collided at the intersection of 36th Street and Patterson Avenue in Kent County.  Both of those vehicles then collided with a semi truck.

Two people in the Mazda were killed in the crash.  They are identified Eric Fischer, 23, of Caledonia, and Andrea Herrera, 20, of Lowell.

The driver of the Charger, a 27-year-old man who remained unidentified, and the driver of the semi, Eric Walton, 50, of Grand Rapids, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

In the crash report by the Kent County Sheriff’s Department, the deputy reported alcohol was not associated with the drivers of the semi nor the Mazda, but the unidentified driver of the Charger may have had alcohol involved.
