CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man was charged Friday with causing death while driving impaired in connection with the Thursday crash on Patterson and 36th.
Joseph Jay Ford, 27, of Wyoming was charged in 63rd District Court with two counts of operating while impaired causing death.
At 9:51 p.m., deputies say Ford was driving northbound on Patterson Avenue and collided with a westbound vehicle driven by 23-year-old Caledonia man Eric Fischer. The two vehicles then collided with an eastbound semi-truck, killing Fischer and his 20-year-old Andrea Herrera of Lowell.
Both Ford and the 50-year-old driver of the semi suffered non-life threatening injuries. Ford is currently held on $50,000 bond and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 23.

Matt,
You should at least run your articles past spell/grammar check first before posting them.

Better, but still needs some work.
"while driving under the influence in connection with "he" Thursday crash"
fredblue
"Both Ford and the 50-year-old driver of the semi both suffered non-life threatening injuries."
Word 'both' used twice in same sentence referring to the same subject.
Not trying to be a jerk here. Just emphasizing that the article could use some word-smithing.

Thank you for the corrections. Not an excuse, but I am juggling a lot of different things today. Thanks again for keeping an eye out!

Ooh! That fella looks like he slept with a hex!
It appears that he was and has been doing something far more awful than alcohol. A corpse that just does not know enough to lay down….It is sad when people let this happen..A living zombie!
Maybe there can be some form of help to make him see what he has done and scare him straight?

@ Bewitched, I agree with you, He looks like a rotten Jack-o-lantern! What a mess!
He will get three squares a day in jail and health care, [Obviously not dental care]
His victims will not ever see another day!
Their victims families will have to endure the pain of missing their loved ones.
Throw the book at Mr. Toothless!

Edit: I meant his victims families will have endure the pain of missing their loved ones.

Wow. I'm not one to follow posts, but have heard about the people who only get on to point out grammatical errors in the story. And here you are. So I'm going to point something you idiots seemed to have missed: two (2) young people were killed by a drunk driver. These kids have friends and families who are suffering terribly. But I guess the one thing they have going for them is that at least they can rest assured that you have taken the time to get on here and point out how someone failed to use the correct punctuation. In the words of fredblue, I'm not trying to be a jerk here, but you all are f-ing morons.

I’m glad they point it out. A fair portion of the very short articles on this site contain these errors. They’re proffessionals, their work should reflect that. Pretty sure they all have a college degree and a computer, no excuse for it.
Everyone is so angry these days over nothing. Righteous indignation I guess.
