WEST MICHIGAN – Looking for awesome fall colors. The updated map now shows peak color is occurring across most of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Moderate fall colors can be found across central and southern lower Michigan, while high color is occurring across northern and north central lower Michigan. We’re still another week or so away from peak colors across the FOX 17 viewing area.

With the colder temperatures and wet weather coming in this week, we’ll probably accelerate the change a bit more. In fact, Michigan will enter an unsettled period weatherwise as a well-defined upper level trough set up shop over the Great Lakes later this week. High temps will probably be stuck in the 40s for the weekend with lake effect clouds and┬álake effect rain showers.
