DETROIT, Mich. — Not a bad day for baseball at all! In fact, anytime the Tigers are in the playoffs it’s always a good thing. So we’re deep in fall when it could be raining and the temperatures could be in the 40s or 50s, but things actually look pretty good for Detroit, baseball, and Comerica Park.

The attached graphic represents the conditions expected at the ballpark this afternoon and evening as the Tigers meet up with the Boston Red Sox. Temperatures at the start of the game just after 4:00 PM will be in the low 60s with mostly cloudy skies and dry conditions. The closest rain is over Lake Michigan and is literally hours away. By 6:00 PM look for cloudy skies in Detroit with temperatures still in the low 60s and a southeast wind at only about 6 – 12 mph.

As we head further in to the evening hours, showers become a bit more likely, but it still appears as if most of the game will be played dry. By mid to late evening we expect showers (and perhaps a few thunder showers) to sweep through the southeast portion of the state. Anyone walking around Motown, Hart Plaza, or trying to see the sights after the game should keep an umbrella handy.
