Police: Man Charged at Robbery Suspects With Car to Save Friend

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A man charged at two alleged robbery suspects with his vehicle Thursday night in an attempt to save his friend.

According to Kalamazoo police, a 26-year-old man was attacked by two men in the 3300 block of Konkle Street just after 7 p.m.  He was shot twice and beaten before his friend drove the vehicle at the suspects in an attempt to chase them away.

The man reportedly refused to give up his money when approached, prompting the assault.  He sustained non-life threatening injuries.  The suspects fled in a white sedan.

Police describe the suspects as two black males with a thin build.  Both men were wearing hooded sweatshirts, one gray and the other white.  No further description was provided.
