KENT COUNTY, Mich. — Two men arrested Tuesday during a series of raids in Kent County are officially tied to two October armed robberies, according to an FBI criminal complaint released Thursday.

Thaddeus Frazier, 31, and 26-year-old Mujo Bektas are named as suspects in the Wyoming credit union robberies.  The first happened Oct. 2 at the DFCU Financial Credit Union on 36th Street.  The second on Oct. 18 at the Community West Credit Union on 44th Street.

The complaint alleges that Frazier committed the robberies and Bektas acted as the getaway driver. A total of $15,906 was allegedly stolen during the robberies, more than $12,000 of it from the Oct. 18 crime.

Bektas allegedly admitted to officers that he drove Frazier to the credit unions.  The documents also claim that the .45 handgun used during the robberies was stolen by Frazier during an August home invasion in Kentwood.  He allegedly dumped that gun while fleeing a traffic stop on 28th Street in Kent County Oct. 26.
