WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — After a couple of days with high temperatures well into the 50s, it’s going to be noticeably cooler for the next few days.

This image from our in-house computer model, Future Track, shows temperatures late Thursday afternoon only in the 40s. Because there will be some precipitation, there could be a rain/snow mix and not just rain. No snow accumulation is expected.

The cold air came very quickly Wednesday afternoon. Here is a look at hour-by-hour temperatures in Grand Rapids:

  • 2pm:  57
  • 3pm:  56
  • 4pm:  50
  • 5pm:  47
  • 6pm:  45

In other words, the temperature dropped 12 degrees in just four hours.
