One Tank Trip: Old Mission Peninsula Delivers Wine And Haunts

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — FOX 17 Morning News hit the road for another edition of our “One Tank Trips.”

We headed to the Traverse City area to see what they have to offer.

Our first stop was on the Old Mission Peninsula and the Mission Point Lighthouse. It marks the half-way point between the equator and the North Pole.

We also experienced some of the area’s well-known breweries and wineries, such as Jolly Pumpkin and Peninsula Cellars winery.

You can’t take a trip up north without visiting the downtown area of Traverse City. It has great shopping and local restaurants.

M-22 is a popular destination and way of life for northern Michiganders. We stopped by Glen Arbor, which is a small town near Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. That’s a must-see if you haven’t been there before.
