HOLLAND, Mich.,–A little girl from West Michigan has left a big impact on her community and people all across the country, after losing her battle with cancer.

Five-year-old Kaytie Cruz of Zeeland was diagnosed with brain cancer last year, but it was just last month doctors told family the tumors were untreatable.

There have been several fundraisers for Kaytie over the past year but the most recent one was supposed to be the biggest yet. A local company, Blowout Entertainment, was planning a Christmas celebration for Kaytie and her twin sister Kylee, knowing that this holiday season would likely be her last.

Organizer Lalo Salcedo says he still plans to hold the event in Kaytie’s memory and to do something special for Kylee, who has been hit hard by her sister’s passing.

The event is planned Nov. 23 from 3 to 6p.m. at the ‘Golden 8 Ball’ on 254 South River Ave in Holland, Salcedo says donations are welcome. For more information on you can help call 616-594-0046.

A fundraiser has also been set up to help Kaytie’s family with medical and funeral expenses.
