MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. — Two sisters are behind bars after allegedly trying to pay a hit man with rings to kill a 51-year-old Ravenna man.
Diane Hart, 45, and 50-year-old Vicki Brill were arrested Wednesday after an undercover state police trooper posed as that hit man and met with them.
Court documents show that Hart filed for divorce from her husband, Gene Michael Hart, on Tuesday, the same day law enforcement was notified that the sisters were attempting to hire a hit man.
An undercover officer arranged to meet the sisters at a Norton Shores shopping center after the tip.
The women allegedly agreed on how they wanted the man killed and offered two rings as a down payment, according to the Muskegon County Prosecutor’s Office. They also allegedly offered $5,000 once the job was completed.
Muskegon County Prosecutor D.J. Hilson said that Brill and Hart will be arraigned Friday morning.
