MARSHALL, Mich. — Severe storm damage to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office forced the department to closed the building and move operations to its satellite office in Battle Creek.

All sheriff patrols are operating at 100 percent, said Captain Steve Eddy. Phone numbers for the department still worked, and calls were being transferred.

The Battle Creek office at 161 E. Michigan Avenue can handle requests for police reports, gun permits, etc.
