WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — We continue to monitor a blast of Arctic air that arrives Saturday and could generate some heavy lake-effect snow showers. This scene from St. Joseph last week could be repeated again in many areas this weekend.

Current computer models indicate the push of cold air arrives late Friday night, with the heaviest snow occurring Saturday night and Sunday.

The wind flow is from the west-northwest. This would target areas along and west of U.S. 131 with the heaviest snow. Preliminary indications are that snow could total 6 to 12 inches, with even higher amounts possible.
