Charges Approved For 2 People in Businessman’s Killing

dahlinger suspectsGRAND RAPIDS,Mich. — Charges have been approved for 2-people in the killing of a Grand Rapids businessman. John Dahlinger, was killed in his home on the northeast side of Grand Rapids in October.

Detectives have investigated the homicide since that night and developed two suspects in the case.

On Wednesday, November 20 the Kent County Prosecutor’s Office authorized arrest warrants for Danyell Thomas and Dijana Kilic .

Thomas was charged with Felony Murder, Open Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, Assault with Intent to Rob While Armed, Felony Firearm, and being an Habitual Offender.

Dijana Kilic was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery.

On  November 21 Kilic surrendered to detectives at the Grand Rapids Police Department and transported to the Kent County Correctional Facility.

Thomas and Kilic are expected to be arraigned in 61st District Court at 1:30 p.m. on November 21

    I am so glad they have the killers of this man.It is so sad that people will take someones life for some money most likely to get high.Remember when you carry a gun to commit a crime you may not be intending to use it but when you put yourself into the situation this is what happens.Now the family may start to get some closer and start the healing stages.Also the neighbors can now rest a little easier even though it is hard.
