State Police Investigating Deadly Car-Pedestrian Crash

Fatal Ada AxADA TOWNSHIP, Mich – The Michigan State Police continues to investigate what led up to a deadly crash along East Fulton in Ada Township this evening.

The preliminary investigation shows a 34-year-old woman was attempted to cross East Fulton after leaving O’Brien’s Market & Deli when she was struck by a Chevy Avalanche heading westbound.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.  Her name hasn’t been released at this time.

Investigators on scene say it was dark at the time of the crash and the woman was wearing dark clothing when it happened.

The roadway was reduced to one lane in both directions along East Fulton while authorities investigated.

Speed does not appear to be a factor at this point in the investigation according to authorities on scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Michigan State Police.

    She was not 34… she was 41! Get your facts straight before reporting! Her name is Tina Simmons and she was my aunt. She was a great mother to two teenage girls and was loved by her family. Myself along with the rest of the family thank everyone for all their support during this difficult time.
