GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – A West Michigan man suspected of driving the vehicle that killed his passenger over the weekend has been released from jail.
Nicholas McIntyre was booked in the Kent County Jail for operating while intoxicated causing death stemming from an Algoma Townshipfatal crash on Saturday, November 23in which his passenger, Bridget Brinkmeier, was killed.
According to Kent County Prosecutor Bill Forsyth, McIntyre was arrested but not formally charged. Forsyth says he was released pending further investigation. The Prosecutor’s office says it is not unusual in these types of cases as investigators wait for blood test results to return.
