Hastings-Police-UnitHASTINGS, Mich. – The Michigan State Police and Barry County officials are conducting a drug investigation.

Dispatchers sent police to Pennock Hospital in Hastings around 5 a.m. Sunday to follow up on a call they received about a man being treated for a possible drug overdose.

The 28-year-old man told officials that he was held down against his will and injected with an unknown substance at a home in the 1500 block of N. East St.

Investigators determined that the man had not been injected by force, according to the Hastings Police Department.

Police have obtained a search warrant for the home on North East Street and are continuing the investigation.
