ROCKFORD, Mich.– A theology professor at Cornerstone University is accused of being a ‘Peeping Tom’ after detectives say he watched a couple have sex.

Forty-year-old Jeremy Grinnell was charged in Kent County Monday with two felonies. Grinnell was arrested by the Kent County Sherriff’s Office  Nov. 8 after they say he climbed up a ladder earlier in the month to watch a couple have sex at a home in Cannon Township.

Grinnell, who is a visiting assistant professor of systematic theology at Cornerstone, was placed on administrative leave pending the investigation after the university learned of the allegations.

In a statement from the school they say they are stunned and saddened by the news. According to his online profile, Grinnell graduate from the Grand Rapids Theological Seminary of Cornerstone back in 2000 and was an adjunct professor there until 2010.

He has a Ph.D from Calvin College and currently teaches various courses including religion and ministry at Cornerstone. His background also includes being a former youth minister and current elder at the Church of Redeemer.

Grinnell also had a radio show through Cornerstone on WCSG 91.3, University officials tell us that has since been pulled. Grinnell is currently out on bond, we reached out to him and while he didn’t want to talk on camera saying he has to let things play out out in court.
