INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Football fans driving to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Championship between Michigan State and Ohio State Saturday night will see much more snow in central Indiana than is currently on the ground in West Michigan.

As of Friday morning, the Indianapolis area was reporting general accumulations of two to four inches of snow that had started Thursday, with more snow likely later in the day.  The heaviest snow, however, will stay south of the city; thus, driving conditions will not be affected coming from West Michigan until one gets close to the destination.

Another piece of good news is that conditions will quiet down during the day Saturday, allowing for roads to be cleared to and from the city.  A bit of additional snow will arrive in central Indiana on Sunday.

Those not going to watch the game in person can see all the action on FOX 17 Saturday night, with kickoff just after 8:00 P.M.

Here is the full National Weather Service forecast for Indianapolis through the weekend… the forecast for West Michigan is available anytime on the Weather page.
