Indiana Man Dies After Car Crash In Cass County

cass county sheriffJEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, Mich- One man is dead after a Saturday Morning crash in rural Cass County.

According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department, 52-year-old David Wenger from Goshen, Indiana was travelling westbound on Calvin Hill Street when he failed to negotiate the curve near North Shore Drive. His vehicle then left the roadway and struck a tree before coming to a rest in the ravine.

Mr. Wenger died at the scene.

Mr. Wenger was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash. It is unknown at this time if alcohol was a factor or not in the crash. Weather could have played a factor in the crash as there was heavy fog in the area at the time of the crash.

The accident remains under investigation by the Cass County Sheriff’s Department.
