WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — If you watched FOX 17 News at 5 & 6, you saw that we focused on some very heavy snow in Muskegon and Newaygo Counties. We expected “easily” six inches. That amount has already been met in some locations, and the snow continues to fall.

Muskegon County is under a winter storm warning until 2AM. Another 4 to 6 inches is possible before the band shifts south into Ottawa and Kent Counties. This image from our in-house computer mode, Future Track, shows the band into these areas by 12:30.

Here are some of Monday’s snow totals so far:

  • Cloverville, 5.8″
  • Muskegon, 6.0″
  • Twin Lake, 12.0″
  • Grand Rapids, 2.0″
  • Fremont, 5.3″
  • Whitehall, 8.0″
