122613XMASSNOWWEST MICHIGAN — It was a true White Christmas across West Michigan where 2 to 7 inches of snow fell.

The largest accumulations occurred along the Lakeshore from Muskegon to Holland. Snow totals remained higher along I-196 where areas of 2 to 4  inches fell. Snow also fell in hard hit Barry County, where thousands remained without power on Christmas.

The Christmas snow added to the already high snow totals for the month of December, with late-night snow catapulting Grand Rapids into the top ten snowiest Decembers.

With additional snow in the forecast, it is likely Grand Rapids will end the month with over 33 inches of snow and Muskegon nearing 40 inches.
