Women Rescued After Falling Through Ice

Holland Latin Kings[1]HOLLAND, Mich. — Two women were rescued Christmas Day after chasing their dog onto the Macatawa Marsh and falling through the ice.

According to a press release, the women were trapped in the ice and mud when police arrived on the scene at approximately 1 p.m.  The incident happened near 145 Columbia, near Window on the Waterfront Park.

Rescue crews pulled the women and dog from the water.  The women, at risk for hypothermia, were taken to the hospital for evaluation.
