WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — Temperatures Thursday night will drop below zero in many locations, and we will stay cold on Friday. However, a brief warmup arrives Saturday before the coldest air in years invades West Michigan.

This image from our in-house computer model, Future Track, shows midday temperatures on Saturday. In many locations, temperatures will be at or above 30 degrees. This will feel much warmer than the highs in the teens we had on Wednesday and Thursday, as well as the teens in the forecast for Friday.

Starting Sunday and continuing into Monday and Tuesday, some bitterly cold air moves in. This map from the College of DuPage shows temperatures early Tuesday near zero. In addition, brisk winds will result in wind chill values as low as 30 below.
