SOUTH HAVEN, Mich.– Monday’s winter storm has forced South Haven officials to close some public buildings and cancel some services.

City Hall and the Department of Public Works are closed for the day for non-essential staff. Monday’s city council meeting will also be rescheduled to next week, according to South Haven city manager, Brian Dissette.

Trash service is also stopped for the day. South Haven residents can expect trash pick-up to be resumed later in the week.

City plows, police and other emergency personnel will still be operating.

While the wind, snow and frigid temperatures are causing issues on the road and closing many schools, buildings and services, South Haven is not under a snow emergency.
