SOUTH HAVEN, Mich.– If there is ever a good time to have to close City Hall, during early January’s winter storm would be it.

According to City Manager, Brian Dissette, the finance department is aware of this rare situation for those needing to pay bills and will work with customers once the offices reopen Wednesday morning. Since there are no taxes due, most of the bills would be for utilities. And, utility crews are likely either impacted by the weather or working to clear streets and roads and not able to check meters.

Dissette and emergency personnel still urge South Haven residents to stay inside and off the roads.
