Sapp—Marvin—and—Patrick—TelekaKALAMAZOO, Mich. — A woman from Ann Arbor was in Marvin Sapp’s congregation when, instead of a sermon, he talked about a woman who was stalking him, the Kalamazoo Gazette reported Thursday.

The newspaper talked to a woman from Ann Arbor who was at the church the morning Sapp opened up about the stalker. The woman, who spoke on condition that she not be identified, said she believes Sapp was talking about Dr. Teleka Patrick, who has been missing since December 5.

Sapp, a Grammy-winning gospel artist, is pastor at Lighthouse Full Life Center Church in Grand Rapids.

Sapp made the comments from the pulpit on August 25, the newspaper said. Sapp obtained a court order in September to keep Patrick away from him and his family.

The account is the first that describes what Sapp said to his congregation and how angry he appeared to be about the situation.
