Over 1,500 Consumers Energy Customers Are Without Power In Battle Creek

Update: The power has been restored per the Consumers Energy Outage map as of 3:40 p.m.

BATTLE CREEK, Mich- There are over 1,500 Consumers Energy customers in Battle Creek without power Saturday afternoon.

The outage started around 1:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

According to Consumers Energy, the power outage is in the area of Capital Ave. SW, Berkley Rd. and I-94. It is unknown was caused the outage. An estimated time on when the power will be back on is also unknown at this time.

The Battle Creek Police Department are urging people to avoid the area as the traffic lights are out in the area. If you are in that area the Battle Creek Police Department says to treat non-working traffic lights as a four-way stop.
