KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A Kalamazoo man posted a video Tuesday of his snowmobile collision with a yearling in the Upper Peninsula.

“I hope it’s ok,” Dave Osborn wrote in a Facebook post with the video attached.

The video was taken Saturday night using a GoPro camera attached to his helmet.  He said he was in Iron County near Amasa.

Screen shot 2014-01-15 at 8.13.55 PM“A small deer shot out in front of me and there was nothing I could do,” Osborn wrote on the video’s description.

He said the incident was a small part of an otherwise pleasant 600-mile snowmobiling excursion he took with his father and a couple of friends over a six-day period.  He said the trails and scenery were so great he’s already planning another trip back next year.
