LAWRENCE, Mich. — A thief was caught stealing from a Van Buren County home after the homeowners set up a trail cam.

The pictures show a 74-year-old man in the Lawrence home of Dan and Patty Bohle.  They set up a trail cam in their kitchen after roughly $400 in vacation money went missing.

The couple suspected someone had been stealing from them since December.  After catching the man Jan. 18, they reported the thefts to Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department.

Thurston Gedvick was arrested and will be formally arraigned Tuesday on charges of first-degree home invasion.

The Bohles say they know Gedvick, and have helped him out financially in the past.
