EAST LANSING, Mich. — Nik Stauskas and Derrick Walton, Jr. both scored 19 points and were pivotal in a late 10-0 run to lead #21 Michigan to a 80-75 upset win over #3 Michigan State, who were playing without Adreian Payne and Branden Dawson.

The Wolverines are now the lone Big Ten team still unbeaten in conference play at 7-0.

Gary Harris scored a game-high 27 points for the Spartans, who fall to 7-1 in the Big Ten.

It’s Michigan ninth straight win after a 6-4 start to the season. In the last week, the Wolverines have beaten then-#3 Wisconsin, #10 Iowa, and now the #3 Spartans. It’s the first time a team has beaten a Top 10 team in three straight games since 1986-1987.

Michigan State travels to Iowa on Tuesday. Michigan hosts Purdue on Thursday.
