800px-Boiling_waterBATTLE CREEK, Mich- The City of Battle Creek has issued a Boil Water Advisory for residents after a water main break at the intersection of Parkway Drive and Jordan Street.

The boil water advisory went into effect at 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

The area that is affected by this is Parkway Drive from Hubbard Road to Plymouth Street and that includes the Parkway Manor Apartment Complex.

The City of Battle Creek advises that you DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST. Bring all water to
a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.

Public Works employees are working on restoring the water pressure in that area. There is no time table as of yet to when the Boil Water Advisory will be lifted for that area.
