Pinky’s Place

Kick Dementia Event Saturday, Feb.1

COMSTOCK PARK, Mich.- As Super Bowl Sunday approaches, Pinky’s Place-Antique & Artisan Market, home to Pinky’s Palace non-profit 501c3, is hosting a “Kick” Dementia-Pre-Super Bowl Party.

On Saturday, Feb. 1, Pinky’s, located at 4790 Alpine Ave. NW, will not only provide you with a wonderful place to snag gifts for yourself or Valentine’s Day, but to buy a paper football for $1. The idea behind the footballs, is to put it toward the 501c3 that helps families who have special needs due to dementia. This cause is very dear to the heart of owner, Deb Myszka, because her mother, Bertha Young Anderson (Pinky) was diagnosed with Frontal Temporal Lobe Dementia (one of 80 types of this disease). Her family & friends have made it a mission to help families affected by Dementia.

Th goal? To have enough footballs purchased to go around the perimeter of the store, at least once.

Also, you can enjoy music, refreshments, vendor demonstrations and enter to win a grand prize which includes an overnight hotel/restaurant package, gift certificates and other goodies, too!

The grand  prize drawing will be held at 1p.m.
