Search Warrants In Calhoun County Lead To Illegal Growing Operations

Calhoun County Sheriff (MI - USA)CALHOUN COUNTY, Mich.- Two search warrants in Calhoun County lead to the discovery of two illegal indoor marijuana growing operations.

According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department, the first search warrant was served Friday night at a residence on Arlington Drive in Bedford Township. Deputies discovered an indoor marijuana growing operation as well as firearms and illegal prescription drugs.

A 39-year-old Battle Creek man was arrested and taken into custody. He is being charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of analogues, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and being a felon in possession of a Firearm.

The second search warrant was served Friday night at a residence on Park Avenue in Pennfield Township. Deputies discovered an illegal marijuana growing operation. A 37-year-old Battle Creek man was arrested and taken into custody. He is being charged with manufacturing marijuana.

Names of the suspects have not been released pending their arraignment hearings in Calhoun County Court.
