Shooting At Off Campus Student Housing Building At FSU

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. — -According to the Ferris State University website, Ferris State University Police and the Big Rapids Department of Public Safety are investigating a shooting at an off campus student housing complex.

Police say the shooting took place Saturday, Feb 1 at Venlo Place around 4:15 A.M.

A male, who is a Ferris State student, was shot by an unknown suspect and has been hospitalized in Grand Rapids.

According to police, the suspect is believed to be a 6’0 ft. tall, black male with dreadlocks.

The area is being contained and residents around this location are advised to stay inside.
