GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., (Feb.5,2014) A new work environment can now be found in downtown Grand Rapids at Blue35. Located at 35 Oakes Street SW, the building offers an innovative approach to getting business done.

“This is a collaborative work space that is really going to transform the way people work,” explained Mike Mraz, the Vice President of Real Estate Development for Rockford Development. “The building offers traditional lease spaces, co-working desks that people can rent by the day the month, the year.”

Blue35 is the product of a partnership between Haworth, Inc. and Rockford Development. The building, which was built as a hotel in 1914, has been gutted and remodeled. An addition has also been built to accommodate the building’s main lobby, elevator and stairs.

The facility houses a variety of offices and conference rooms, including some rooms with bluescape technology.  The developers say it’s ideal for everyone from entrepreneurs to established companies. The downtown location is also a big draw.

“We’ve been really getting a lot of requests for people to come back downtown and experience downtown, but others have had challenges with the typical lease structure,” Mraz told FOX 17 News. “Being located right in the middle of the Heartside District, the Arena District as well, it’s positioned perfectly with all the amenities of downtown, near entertainment venues, restaurants.”

Membership at Blue35 begins at $195 dollars per week. For more information, click here.
