Pro-Pet Issues Recall for Dry Dog and Cat Food

Dog eating from dishMICHIGAN (Feb. 5, 2014) — Pro-Pet LLC has issued a voluntary recall of dry dog and cat foods because of a possible salmonella contamination.

There have been no reports of illness so far.

Salmonella can affect animals eating the products as well as humans handling them, especially if they hae not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with the food.

These products were sold in stores and online to customers in almost 30 states, including Michigan.

Customers who purchased any of the above products should immediately discontinue using them and contact Pro-Pet at 1-888-7654190.
