Report: Suspect in Arson Investigation is NAACP V.P., YWCA Award Winner

KALAMAZOO, Mich (February 14, 2014) – According to the Kalamazoo Gazette, one of two suspects charged in an attempted arson in Kalamazoo is the 1st Vice President of the Metropolitan Kalamazoo Branch NAACP, and a YWCA Women of Achievement Award winner.

69-year-old Lola Clark Atkinson is charged with Conspiracy to Commit Arson and Attempted 2nd Degree Arson following an attempted arson at a home in the 1300 block of North Park Street early Thursday morning.

56-year-old Elvis Patterson also faces the same charges in the case, both have since posted bond.
