church fireALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich (February 17, 2014) – A church in Overisel Township near Hamilton was destroyed by a fire on Monday.

The Antioch Fellowship Center was in the 3900 block of 37th Street.

Members of the church could be seen pouring through the rubble to search for a cross.  The remnants were still smoldering by 5pm Monday.

Fire crews believe a furnace malfunction may be partly to blame.  Someone was working on the furnace around noon and went to get parts, then came back to find the structure on fire.

We will hear from the pastor tonight on FOX17 News at Ten.
