...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EST
TUESDAY...

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * SNOW WILL DEVELOP FROM WEST TO EAST ACROSS THE AREA EARLY THIS
   AFTERNOON.

 * SNOWFALL RATES OF HALF AN INCH TO ONE INCH PER HOUR MAY BE
   POSSIBLE BETWEEN 3 PM AND 9 PM.



 * TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 6 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED
   BEFORE THE SNOW ENDS TONIGHT. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS WILL BE
   POSSIBLE.

IMPACTS...

 * ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY BEGINNING THIS
   AFTERNOON.

 * THE EVENING COMMUTE WILL BE AFFECTED BY SNOW COVERED ROADS
   AND LOW VISIBILITIES IN FALLING SNOW.

 * THE SNOWFALL WILL ADD ADDITIONAL WEIGHT TO ALREADY STRESSED
   ROOFS...ESPECIALLY FLAT ROOFS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

 * THE MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION REMINDS MOTORISTS
   TO ADJUST SPEEDS BASED ON THE CONDITIONS... AND TO TAKE IT
   SLOW IN ICE AND SNOW.
